UC Davis Young Scholars Program

Anderson was one of 40 students to be accepted into this program. He has been there since June 22 and returned home on August 3rd.

In this program, Anderson learned hands-on skills in the lab that are transferable to other science and medical fields, as well as earning college credit. The purpose of his research this summer was to find a biological control agent to maintain/deal with nematode infestations, which are harmful to the agriculture industry, especially in California since it is a large producer. The research paper he is working on is titled "Investigating the Impact of Bacterial Supernatant on Nematode Viability." Please take a look at the pictures of Anderson in the lab.

Thank you all for supporting this amazing opportunity for him!
