On June 27, 2019, the governing Board of Trustees approved Edward Campbell as the new Principal of California City Middle School. Mr. Campbell has been involved in education for the last twenty-two years, fourteen as a classroom teacher and eight years as a high school administrator. Currently, and for the last three years, Mr. Campbell has served as the Continuation Sites Principal in the Fontana Unified School District. Prior to working in Fontana, Mr. Campbell also worked as a teacher in the Southern Kern Unified School District and the Antelope Valley Union High School District. Mr. Campbell is a life-long resident of the Antelope Valley who graduated from Quartz Hill High School and Antelope Valley College before moving on to California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Additionally, Mr. Campbell completed his teaching credential and Masters of Educational Administration at CSUB. Mr. Campbell and his wife of thirty-four years reside in Quartz Hill and have two sons, both of whom are employed in the field of education.
